Yes, I’m dumping my recent evangelism adventures here.
Over July 4, my church was in the Dale City 4th of July parade. There was a float, where the worship band played songs. My pastor was gonna preach in between sets, but he ended up not feeling well, so someone else filled in. Read the rest of this entry »

Yes, I said censoriousness. What does that fifty-cent word mean? You’ll see.
So, tonight at Wal-Mart, we had country musician Keith Anderson singing a few songs and signing autographs. I don’t know the guy from Adam. I had the “pleasure” of being exposed to his music videos on the TVs for sale next to the photo lab for eight hours. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that they do not exactly meet the Philippians 4:8 qualifications. Especially with the line in the one song about how he would “talk to God and pray like h***” over the death of a loved one.

So, two interesting things happened at Wal-Mart.
The first thing: Within 30 seconds of arriving, I was asked to come to the service desk to help someone who was returning a camera. So, I walk up there, and there was an older man with his grandson. Apparently, they bought a camera earlier in the day, and in the video mode, it would not record or play sound. Thus, they came to return it.
However, the grandfather kept telling his grandson to “shut up,” even though it was the grandson who experienced the problem. That got up my nose a bit. What also got up my nose is that the grandfather was very irate over the fact we actually had to check out the camera, and not just take his word for it. Why? Because, as he boasted so proudly, “I’m a pastor, baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.”

I had a very odd dream last night.
As some of you know, I work at a Wal-Mart Photo Center. One of the things we do is printing passport pictures for people. So, in my dream, I was walking into the Photo Center, and two of the associates there were taking a passport photo. Of John MacArthur.

I’m not quite sure where this is gonna go, or if I’ll stay faithful to it. Nevertheless, let’s give it a shot. This’ll be a blog about my personal life, with an emphasis on evangelism (stories, pictures, audio, etc.), theology, and related things. I’ll also probably post videos I find on YouTube and Google Video that I think are edifying or interesting.
