Obama = Jesus?

No, the recent lack of posting is not because I have been lifted into the arms of the Savior. In fact, to the contrary. I’ve just been really busy. Anywho, I was just sent an article by WorldNetDaily analyzing this piece:
Obama is my homeboy. And I’m not saying that because he’s black – I’m saying that in reference to those Urban Outfitters t-shirts from a couple years ago that said, “Jesus is my homeboy.” Yes, I just said it. Obama is my Jesus.
While you may be overtly religious and find this to be idol-worshipping, or may be overtly politically correct and just know that everything in that sentence could be found offensive, I’m afraid it’s true anyway.
…
I’ve officially been saved, and soon, whether they like it or not, the rest of the country will be too. I will follow him, all the way to the White House, and I’ll be standing there in our nation’s capital in January 2009, when Barack Obama is inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States of America. In the name of Obama, Amen.
Oh, where to begin? It’s quite simple, with the gospel. Politics, like most things in this world, will be destroyed with the earth by fire. Here is the comment I just posted:
Ms. Mertens is correct in one thing: many do indeed “find this to be idol-worshipping.” One of those who does is in fact Jesus Himself, Ms. Mertens’ Creator. Like all of humanity, she will die one day for her sin, and when that day comes she will give an account to Him for worshiping another sinful human in place of the one true God of the universe. To quote the real Jesus, “Unless you repent, you will perish” (Luke 13:3). He also said that your love for the true God should be so great that your love for any other thing, including your own life and yes, Barack Obama, should be like hatred compared to your love for your true creator, God Himself. I will pray that Ms. Mertens will in fact repent towards the God of the Bible today, as she does not know when she will die.
